These ukes are some of the best you can get. Ukuleles in this group are mostly an all solid construction, and use fine and exotic timbers.

Maton Solid Victorian Blackwood Tenor

Made in our own backyard in the Melbourne suburb of Box Hill, Maton ukuleles are about as Australian as it gets. Handmade from Blackwood, a member of the Acacia family similar to Koa and native to southeastern Australia, the Maton Tenor sounds great, and has an included premium hard case.

CORDOBA 30T-CE Tenor Ukulele w/ Pickup

Córdoba, using their experience as one of the worlds greatest producers of classical guitars approached the construction of their 30 series by building the ukuleles as if it were a classical guitar, but in miniature. The result of this development is the 30T-CE. With its gloss finish, all solid Mahogany body, and a L.R. Baggs Five O pickup, the 30T-CE looks, feels and sounds impressive, with a warm, resonating tone. Includes a Córdoba Polyfoam Case.

Many companies producing ukuleles want to make an instrument that feels and sounds true to the ukulele's hawaiian roots. Pono, the sister company of Ko'olau in Hawaii, have been the first to do so. With a purpose built workshop on the island of Java, every Pono instrument is handcrafted with both new and old techniques, such as the addition of a truss rod, allowing for adjustment of the neck.
